These
were removed from the NW corner of the old
churchyard when Heworth roundabout was constructed
in 1959. The bones of the deceased were not
disturbed and now lie under the public highway. An
inscribed stone to mark the site was was inserted
into the rebuilt churchyard boundary wall.

inscriptions of the seven headstones set up in the
cemetery and easily recognisable as tall, old stones
