This is an unusual two toned headstone, and of grim appearance. It has been carved out of soft local sandstone and apart from the 'black' drapes (which were probably painted black which has given some protection from the elements) is in a very distressed, weathered state and is almost unreadable.
Unfortunately it is in an isolated position and the area around it is being used as a rubbish dump by the cemetery workman. (see photo below)
